Rain Rain Go Away...

I'm usually one to love the rain. Especially the monsoons that roll in across the Arizona desert. However, Utah rain is not nearly as welcome. Sure the "locals" (no, just because I've lived here for the last 6? years I don't consider myself a local) love the rain and praise the moisture... but I don't. The thunder and lightening that accompany the rain here is lacking, at best, so all you really get is wet, and COLD. Makes for a pretty gloomy summer and it's sad to see Seven Peaks Water Park season passes going to waste.

I think it's had an adverse affect on Ellery as well. The past week or so (since the bulk of the wet stuff has been coming down) she's been exceptionally ornery (yes that's spelled correctly). I suppose it COULD be because the prego hormones in the air are getting to her too... but I highly doubt that's the case since even Millie has been exceptionally pleasant so far this pregnancy. The poor kid (Ellery) is addicted to playing in the pool and going down the water slides at Seven Peaks, LOVES THEM SLIDES! Unfortunately, her uninsulated father isn't one to jump out of his temperature specific comfort zone to take her lately.

Here's hoping the weather turns around soon! In the mean time, I guess I'll appreciate the fact that the utility bill is manageable. :)

gotta love that 'global warming'. I'm wondering if we're gonna have summer this year. It's been pretty cold and gloomy here but without much rain. I'm up for a good thunder and lightning storm that always seems to set things riiiight. (gotta say it like Sadie and Rose from Big Business)
