The other day Ellery turned to me and said, "Aayla's just a shirt, huh daddy?"
I wasn't sure what she meant, so I asked.
She repeated, "Aayla's just a shirt."
Ellery was struggling with the word "shirt" and it took me a second to realize that's not at all what she was TRYING to say.
Although, yes, Aayla is a "shirt" sometimes, Millie seems to think I need to be more selective with my language (or what "pet names") I use around Ellery's ears.
Kids. :)

Busted!! And to think I got in trouble for calling Daisy a dumb dog around Hazel (which she, of course, promptly started calling Daisy for the next two weeks)...
and what a cute little "shirt" she is.
You gotta love 'em!
Is she a big 'shirt' or a little 'shirt'? Can't believe you called that sweet little baby a shirt...could it be because 'auntie Paula' always called you a little shirt? Hmmmm...interesting. Well please squeeze the shirt out of both of them for me...TA!
Oh by the way could you please email me your address, I realized I didn't have it. Thanks.
That is pretty funny!! Gotta love kids and what sticks in their little brains! I was telling Dave the other day I better stop my road rage and not call people names when I drive because soon enough MaKenna will be saying all the same things in the back seat. Love kids!
Oh yeah! The road rage is another story!... all I have to do is honk and Ellery already has "jackass" flying from her mouth, but I still say she learned that from watching Pinocchio, and not from me! :)
hahaha.. yeah ellery told me the other day that aayla was a shirt too. oh jacob....
