The Second Year - 1981

They say the first year is always the hardest... maybe that's so in a new business or some other endeavor taken on later in life, but for life itself, I can't help but think the first was probably the easiest - and I made it through mine.

After turning a year old, I would guess I started to get the swing of things a little better. I have no idea when I started walking (or talking) but I'm pretty sure I was perfecting my strut by the summer of 1981. That summer I spent going on camping trips with the family and getting pulled along in a wagon by Tevia.

October brought my first real Halloween experience - as a kitty.

November was a wild month. My first (and only, as far as I know) perm, a new toy backhoe for Nephi and I to share, and plenty of face time with dish duty; a thing I've since spent COUNTLESS hours doing.

The year came and went. If it weren't for the few pictures I have from it, it could have probably never happened and I wouldn't have known any different.

I like the new look of your blog! Where is that picture of you and Ellery taken? Obviously around here and very recent since she has her fishy!

Um you were a mouse in that Halloween picture. I worked very hard sewing that thing.
A big house cat did chase you, trying to play with the tail. It was hilarious. I wished I had a picture of that.
What's with the "down memory lane" posting? Very sentimental.....

We went driving up Diamond Fork Canyon the other day because Jacob wanted to check out fishing spots. This is where we pulled off to the side of the road and they were coming back to the car so I took a picture.
