Tibble Fork Fishing

I didn't get enough fishing in on our last camping excursion so I decided to get Brandon and Katie and our family out again. We went up to Tibble Fork Reservoir on August 27th. All the fishing reports said the place has been hot for weeks and they keep stocking it. The reports were right! Millie and I each caught our limit and had a lot of fun in the process. All we got were rainbow trout (not the prettiest of the trout family) but they were quite the fighters, which always makes fishing more fun.

Brandon and Katie fished from their inflatable raft and had some good luck catching fish but struggled a bit to land them. We fished till the sun went down then headed home. I cleaned all the fish and refrigerated them to cook up on a night when Brandon, Katie and the Walls could come help us eat them.

The fish turned out surprisingly well. I pan fried them (after the manor that Don Wall taught me on the Uinta hike) with just some butter, salt and pepper. So easy, yet so delicious!

Millie caught the two largest fish and the fourth largest fish. I caught the third and all the rest of them (except for the one Brandon was able to land).

We're going camping and fishing near that same lake this weekend with the Walls; hopefully we have just as good, if not better success!
