So, it's well known now that the Havasupai hike is not happening. Not all rainfall is good rainfall, even in the desert. Looks like it'll be at least another year before that trip happens.
In the mean time, Millie, Ellery and I are gearing up for the Roper family Mexico trip! We'll be flying out on October 11, 2008 from SLC to Cancun. From there we'll bus down to stay at the Iberostar Parasio Beach resort, which is about midway between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. I took a trip to that same area back in 2004, I think (the last 10 years just seem to blur together now). It was a great trip!!! I went by myself then, over the Thanksgiving holiday, so it'll be fun to go back! I'm most excited about the snorkeling and getting to visit Tulum again!
We'll fly home on the 19th. A good solid week of paradise before the harsh, cold, dark, gray, life-sucking winter of Utah sets in. :)

Sorry about your Havasupai trip, but yea for Mexico! I love Mexico!
Utah winters are a dream compared to Chicago winters, so buck up - it could be worse! :)
